A 15,000 square foot skating area designed for the beginner & intermediate skate boarders and inline skaters. Features stairs, bowls, walls, curbs, rails and ramps.

The swimming pool was originally constructed as an auxiliary water tank and was converted to a pool in 1935. The area also contains a 5,000 sq. ft. cabana and 1,100 sq. ft. bathhouse. In Summer 2000 the City entered into a partnership with the Marin YMCA for the 'Y' to operate the comprehensive aquatics program.

The aquatics program consists of recreational swimming, swimming lessons, lap swimming, water exercise, synchronized swimming and diving. Home to Novato’s Rip Tide Swim Team.

Ampitheater Park & Picnic Area PDF Print E-mail

Amphitheater stage and seating for outdoor shows, meetings and special events. The semi-circular amphitheater was built in 1935 under the direction of U.S. Army Captain Howard Nurse. The theater is constructed of terraced stone benches with a surrounding double stone wall that contains trees and shrubs.

The park also has a lawn area, gazebo, picnic tables, play equipment, a restroom. Electricity is also available.

The amphithIter is located against the east slope of Hospital Hill on Hamilton Parkway, across from Traditions subdivision.

Indoor Basketball Court (Hamilton Gymnasium) PDF Print E-mail

The 19,500 sq. ft. gymnasium was originally built in 1944 and upgraded in 1955. Plans are underway to upgrade this facility in the future. Contains a full basketball court and two racquetball courts.

Trails & Hiking PDF Print E-mail

Hamilton is filled with jogging and hiking trails around the bay and up on the hills.

A recent trail has been built over Reservoir Hill.  The north end of this trail connects to the Bay Trail on the Hamilton Levee.

Access to trail system can be reached in several places, including the south end of Hanger Drive (by the baseball field) or on North Hamilton Parkway where you will find a small parking lot half way between Sunny Cove and the Center.
